This blog is totally ALLL about my Nanjing trip from 261oo8-311oo8. But fret not, I didn't miss Halloween . I rushed back to my cousins' place to have a rave trick-or-treat party. :)

Today, we woke up at the same time, but in a different hotel, Jin Sha Hotel. Unlike our previous hotel in Nanjing, Shuguang International, this hotel is 3-star, that's why our room is very crammed. Today's trip was very rushed. In the morning, we went to 老城隍庙to shop. It was something like the Fuzi Miao we visited in Nanjing :) There, we could buy many cheap stuffs too.

After shopping for 1 half hours, we went for lunch. Our group was separated again :( However, Weizhi did not eat as much as usual as he has fallen sick! Poor thing. Eat too much, don't want wear jacket, this is the consequence.

After lunch, we headed for the airport and took our plane back to Singapore (home sweet home !).

Overall, I rate the trip as 4.5/5. Why not full rating? Well, every trip has its ups and downs. Shall not emphasise on that. Phew, I've finally finished compiling this Nanjing! Hope you enjoyed it :)

Day 5

This day, we spent almost half a day on the bus. It wasn't half a day at first, until this thing happened..

6.15am: Wake up to stupid music .
6.18am: Brush teeth .
6.24am: Wake Minger up .
7.45am: Go down for breakfast . (okay i know we take super long alrites . but its my fault .)
8.00am: Supposed to go off . Waiting .
9.00am: Still waiting .
9.30am: Impatient alr, go ask teacher what the problem was .

Me: 发生了什么事了，为什么还不可以上车？
Cher: 除了一点状况，要稍等一下。。。

In the end we waited until 10am, then they allow us to board the bus and they started loading our luggages on the bus. But we still didn't go yet ! We waiting another TWO MORE HOURS， before we started setting off for Shanghai. By the time, almost half of the peeps on the bus fall asleep already, the guide still yakking away. (Offensive? Sorry.)

I take vids all the time, and almost all are crap. Sorry . Hehe. That's one of the main functions of the camera right? Taking pics first , then taking vids (if the cam can). Sorry. Change subject . After many many hours , we reach Shanghai (after passing by Suzhou and Wuxi)!! We were all so hungryy can.

During lunch there was no Weizhi again. Wee. Because he was supposed to sit with Miss Theng. Haha. Pic at lunch.

After lunch we went to the Shanghai bookshops :] They gave us 1 and a half hrs to shop laa! I almost wanted to jump for joy . Random pic (NOT AGAIN?!)

Just pierce ear, ear super pain . If I use bad English, I apologise. Cause the pain's urking me.

Today was our last day in Nanjing :( We did not go to the East Beijing Road Primary School first, we went to their Sunshine Branch . They welcomed us with banners and all, performances and welcome speech. They even played checkers with us! The kids there are really cute, they range from P1-P2, younger than us! :D

After that we had a tour around the school, before going to their kindergarten to look at the lil kids. Hehe.

right after yeo min taught this lil guy how to bounce a ball, he started playing like crazy ! haha .

Then suddenly this TV crew suddenly appeared (dunno CCTV what), and asked us for an interview! All of us were on the urge of running away, when Ms Theng caught Trevor and asked him to accept the interview.

Later on, Amber even SANG for the kindergarten kids! But sadly, she sang really softly. :( But at least I know what she's singing about :D

Wait, and I have to show this really amazing thing -

their track la ! it's definitely olympic style ! i was like , omh , SO BIGG !

Later on we went back to the East Beijing Road Primary (Main) for lunch. It urks, no offence . Once you see it, you don't feel like touching it anymore .

After lunch we went back to our classes with our buddies and they arranged a 欢送会for us ! :D We saw many pupils of their class perform, they are all very talented ! :D Later on they like, keep asking us to go up and learn what they are doing, we were like , so paiseh , don't want go up , in the end all of us (Germaine, Yu Hui, Minger, Me, Marcus, Tristen & Dorette) (Synth-Di, Weizhi, Timothy in another class , SEPARATED !) had to go up to the stage and perform National Anthem . I bet they don't have a single clue what we're singing about. xD Later on they asked one of us to perform , we were like , no no no . Then the teacher decided we play a game, see who lose , who perform .

Then we played this game called “蹲“. It's something like concentration la. In the end Minger lost and she performed with rubix cube :X After that all of us played Charades... the pupils in the class had to write what we had to act out while another pupil tried to guess what we were doing. Another time one pupil asked Minger to act out 'Pig' then the whole class was like laughing. Hehe. Nevertheless, I had fun and I kind of could not part with them :'(

After that we went to Zhenghe Treasure Ships Ruin Park, but I didn't take pictures, so I can't provide with any.

At night, we celebrated Graceluo's birthday too.

The next day we will go Shanghai so don't expect much, we spent half a day on our coach .

Firstly, we woke up to foggy weather again. Now, even the hotel is foggy! I think it's mostly because the China people accomodating in it smoke in the lobby(yes , the reception didn't stop them !)

So we went to East Beijing Road Primary School again, showered with even more gifts this time round .

Lessons were boring (no offence), art, music, Chinese, etc . Later on we went for lunch at a restaurant, Minger & I were separated from Group one ! :( Nevermind, at least there wasn't Weizhi around to snatch our food. We sat with Miss Theng, Gavin&Chon Wey, Chanel&Huishi, Siaohui&Graceluo . Random pics(AGAIN?!):

Today, after a long night's rest, we woke up to see a really foggy weather outside through our hotel window...

Appears that (in the whole of China) their air pollution level is really high . you may NEVER get to experience this in sgp :)

Well, next up! After breakfast (yuck!) , we headed for 北京东路小学.

We attended their flag-raising ceromony, with them singing the China National Anthem.
"前进、前进..." love this part the most :D
After their flag-raising ceromony, the pupils paired with us helped us tie a "红领巾" on our necks.

Then

After taking this group picture, we headed to their lecture theatre for a quick brief.

There were 5 levels and since we carrying our really heavy backpacks, we got tired really quick. I didn't get a chance to like, take pics of the school though. Maybe Tao Nan website has it. Go see.
Well! We go inside classroom... and they were having Math lesson. Easy la!

Something really interesting about their school curriculum is that, after every lesson, they get a 10-min break where they can go out and play! If Tao Nan has this type of curriculum, I will die happy one lor :)

After that we go for lunch before returning to the school for somemore lessons...

Our lunch&dinner is forever like that, sterial :( Rice with dishes . Rahh . At that moment I was totallyyy thinking about how Singapore food will taste like , HEAVEN , when i come back .

After school we headed for 长江大桥. Apparently it was the first bridge built in China. And it was built by this proud man...

He dropped a knife into the fish sauce. Yeah. Everyone was laughing in our group, so loud until everyone turned to look at us. Haha. Tristen, good job. In the end, teacher wanted me to take a picture of this "unforgettable moment" with our fingers. Hehe .

After that, (as Synth-Di said, I'm not sure if it's true) Weizhi tried to get the knife out with his chopsticks and when he got it out ...

Before leaving, the tour guide and our teachers taught us some bargaining skills to help us shop wisely. x)

Day 1

At 6am, the 40 of us, along with 5 teachers, met at Terminal 3 for our flight to Nanjing. Before leaving, we took a group picture... (All pictures courtesy of my camera and TNS)

After 5 gruelling hours on the plane, we finally reached our long-awaited destination, Nanjing.

Clutching on to our passports tightly, we passed through the immigrations successfully, and after that handing them to our respective group teachers. I'm in group one :) Group 1 consisted of...

After picking up our luggage from the baggage claim, we headed for our first destination, Dr. Sun Tat-Sen's Mausoleum.

I'm not sure how to explain about this place, so I shall let the pictures "speak a thousand words".

After that we headed for dinner cause the guide saw as really tired looking. The guide's nice yeah!

But, unfortunately, before we could even finish the food on our plates, we had them all snatched up by..

Leeweizhi . Bigeater, superman(socalled).

That night, he ate 5 big bowls of rice la! We had our big bowl of rice refilled like, 7 times la! So cool right . This shows how much he eats .

After that we went back to our hotel , Shuguang International. But we couldn't sleep before 11 la, we had to do parent update. In the end we did it till 11.30 before we slept :X
